151 Rosebery Ave

Woodhouse created a bright, modern identity to the courtyard garden and car-park at 151 Rosebery Avenue in London. Located near Sadler's Well Theatre, and overlooked by most of the offices in the refurbished building, it was important to create an interesting break area and vista for staff. The area has a number of attractive shrubs and trees in white planters, accompanied by a number of Geo products in stainless steel and aluminium.

The side-road leading into the courtyard is flanked by 12 Geo bollards, four of these have added illumination. The main courtyard area itself is lit by an array of three symmetrical Parklight lanterns. The light from their 150W ceramic metal halide lamps, hidden inside the top of each column and bounced back from upper reflectors, creates a soft, uniform lighting effect within the entire space - while avoiding discomfort glare when viewed from surrounding offices.

The new occupiers of the building have a policy of encouraging staff to cycle to work, so the courtyard is also equipped with 10 Geo Hoop cycle stands.
